National Policy Brief: Addressing chronic poverty in Tanzania through rural industrialisation

This National Policy brief addresses the issue of chronic poverty in Tanzania, which despite high levels of economic growth in the country, remains a significant issue. Many of the poorest people in Tanzania live in rural areas and in order for these levels of poverty to be reduced, the Brief advocates for improvements in conditions in agriculture and for a focus on rural industrialisation that is led by growth in agriculture.
